This Defender Holster is a special purpose-built version of the Standard Holster offering the lowest profile holster with added retention. This OWB holster features can be ordered with a repurposed (a.k.a. used) Safariland SLS rotating hood meeting stringent requirements of many agencies, departments, and security teams. New options now include a low-profile Thumb Break or SpetzGear Speedlock spring loaded level 2 hood. Due to the extremely low profile some users may feel the hood mechanism against their body. You must select the SLS hood, SpeedLock or Thumb Break in the Options section. It is not part of the base price.
The alternative retention is the Thumb Break option that is popular on the Shoulder Holster. This synthetic laminated webbing is extremely durable and adds only minimal thickness on to the holster. You must select the SLS hood, SpeedLock, or Thumb Break in the Options section. It is not part of the base price.
It is available in a variety of colors and camouflage patterns. Standard are black 1.75″ injection molded closed belt loops. Several other attachment options include 1.5″& 2″ closed belt loops, 1.5″ & 1.75″ Infinity flat belt loops for outside the waistband carry. Tuckable, J hook, belt clips, and pull the dot belt loops offer easy inside the waistband (IWB) conversion carry for added versatility and concealability. It’s like getting two holsters in one.
The body of the holster is constructed of .093 and/or .080 Kydex depending on color or finish. Both offer excellent resistance to environmental conditions. Hot, cold, wet or dry will not harm your holster. Although we feel .080 offers the best properties. The .060 thickness will do the job but feels flimsy to most people. The Defender Holster and belt loop allow for four carry heights and different angles for most compact and full-size pistols. Adjustment will vary depending on pistol length. The highest position of the belt loops allows the pistol to sit lowest on your belt. This will roughly place the trigger guard at the belt level. The belt loops can be dropped down to the next set of eyelets making for a slightly higher ride. Flipping the belt loops upside down with further raise the ride of the holster. Inverting the belt loops for a very high ride, as with any holster, should only be done with a stiff belt. Shoulder Holster Pistol
This is a pistol holster only for use with a shoulder harness system. This is a great add on for people who already have a shoulder holster rig but just need to add a different pistol. The Shoulder Holster Pistol comes with 1″ strap adapters common with most shoulder holster rigs found on the market including the Ares Tactical Shoulder Holste or the LIC (Low Intensity Conflct) Rig. As with all shoulder holster systems that use screws you must use thread locker e.g. Loctite or Vibratite once you have made your initial set up adjustments.$65.00
Competition Holster
Competition Holster for IDPA, USPSA, & 3Gun The Competition Holster is perfect for IDPA, USPSA, and 3Gun action shooting matches, general range use, or everyday carry. The low cut front allows the pistol to clear the holster faster and get on target sooner. If you measure time by the hundredths of a second this is the holster you want on your side. Dual retention screws, most models, lets you fine tune the draw effort and feel. You can make this as secure as you want. Adjustment are made with a common Phillips screwdriver meeting the most stringent IDPA requirements. A fully enclosed trigger guard meets all competitive sports rules and recommendations of most professional trainers. The low cut front is a popular feature. It allows you to clear the holster faster and get your muzzle pointed downrange sooner. This is also makes it compatible with Trijicon RMR, Burris Fast Fire, and JP Rifles JPoint style slide mounted micro red dot sights that do no extend past the slide width. If yours is different, let us know and we can typically accommodate your needs. Our design meets the rules criteria for both IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) and USPSA (including Production Division) as well as many other shooting competitions. If you are not an IDPA or IPSC shooter you should look into them. Both are very welcoming to new shooters and great way to improve your skills. Multiple carry heights are possible with the standard Tek-Loc belt adapter. It fits belts up to 2.25 inches. A standard 1.75” belt allows six carry height adjustments that can be locked in. You can add a FBI 15 degree forward cant or a muzzle forward cant in its base position. Other custom belt attachment models are available such as the Safariland QLS & ELS. We can even custom mold a holster to your preferred belt attachment. Vistit the Belt Accessory Page or just contact us. A flared opening is added for safety and ease. This allows the shooter to holster the pistol easily without the need to point the muzzle at themselves to get it started into the holster. Muzzling yourself in IDPA, USPSA, or in general is forbidden. Order the single color or two-tone model. The single color uses only the Base Color Option. When ordering the dual color model select the inside Base Color then the outside shell wrap color. You will also need to choose an edge reveal for two tone competition holsters. Single layer holsters should choose flush. Two-tone dual layer competition holster can choose any option. The bevel is tapers the outer layer in most visible areas and adds a nice polished transition to the inner layer. This is our most popular option just beating out the Thin Blue Line (TBL) reveal. The Thin Blue Line reveal was originally made just for our Law Enforcement customers but we had such a demand we added it as a option for everyone, in every color nad kept the name. This is roughly an 1/8 inch set back on the outer layer letting more of the inner layer be visible. Bevel and TBL are not possible on single layer holsters, though the system will let you pay for it. We have added the option to choose your sweat shield coverage. Sometimes call a shirt guard, the sweat shield is the part of the holster between the rear of the slide and your body. Low cut is the shortest and typically ends just above the belt attachment point. The full is the tallest, covering most of the slide. Different slide profiles and grips will vary just how much is covered on the full option. If you are a high thumbs forward gripper any sweat shield will work. Low thumbs forward grippers tend to like the low shield coverage. As a long time IDPA shooter (A054xx) and life member of USPSA (L26xx) we have heard that beep many times. Tanker Chest Holster
The Tanker Holster was born out of a need for a easy access system where traditional belt or thigh holsters were not practical. Classically seen worn by tankers and pilots, today you can still see these used by military personnel as well as backpackers, hikers, and atv off roaders. The Ares Tactical Tanker Chest Holster is based on the 1940’s US Military M7 Tanker Holster. We have designed in a lot of improvements including using weatherproof Kydex, allowing greater adjustability in sizing and retention. Additionally, we have designed the holster to be adjustable in the carry angle. It can be rotated to near horizontal. This allows for a more natural draw angle to fit your body. Single Magazine Pouch
The Single Mag Pouch is a convenient way to carry a spare pistol magazine. It is available for a variety of pistol magazines as well as universal fit models. You know you should be carrying spare ammunition. Now you have no excuse with this compact and lightweight solution. Each pouch features Speed Chute. This flared opening allows easier insertion of magazines something that IDPA competitors will find very handy during a Loaded Chamber Reload (formerly known as Reload with Retention). For the non competitors its just easier to put mags in. If you are looking to carry a single magazine and flashlight you should check out are Mag/Light pouch. Here are some of the adjustment for ride height that is available with this Double Mag Pouch. The shorter “Competition” pouch will loose some/all adjust heights. The Righty is worn on the left side with the bullets forward. If you wear the Righty on the right side the bullets will face backwards. Molle Holster
The MOLLE Holster provides full slide protection while minimizing the real estate used on your belt or vest. The additional slide coverage helps protect your rear sight and firearm. Custom lower profile slide coverage is also available. Supplied with dual MALICE Clips, the MOLLE Holster mounts easily and securely. There are multiple vertical height adjustments as well as horizontal mounting. Mounting solutions using G-Code RTI system, Safariland QLS and ELS, or Blade-Tech Tek-Lok can be done on a custom basis too. If you want added versatility you can get the optional rigid belt loop is available for $10. They are available in 1.5, 1.75, and 2″ and come with all the necessary hardware. The nearly indestructible Kydex body withstands the rigors of being in the field. Hot, cold, dry or wet is will will not matter. Wrap around muzzle design protects the muzzle, keeps your clothes cleaner, and is far more comfortable than exposed versions. An added benefit is it allows plenty of clearance for drainage.
