The Bodyguard IWB Holster grew out of a need for a comfortable IWB (Inside the Waistband) holster that was highly concealable, reliable, and easy put on or take off. This Kydex holster is ambidextrous and can be configured for right and left hand carry. Wrap around muzzle design protects the muzzle, keeps your clothes cleaner, and is far more comfortable than exposed versions. The tuckable J-hook allows for full concealment with minimal hook showing. An optional pull-the-dot soft loop kit is available for $10. Also consider the new UltiClip. This is a great solution for those men and women who do not wear belts or want an even more concealed carry Kydex holster
The body of the holster is constructed of .080 Kydex. This offers excellent resistance to environmental conditions as well as body sweat. Also normal atmospheric hot, cold, wet or dry will not harm your holster. Other thicknesses and colors are available as a custom order. Although we feel .080 offers the best properties. The .060 thickness will do the job but feels flimsy to most people and sometimes is a little more difficult to holster. The extra stiffness over the .060 is something IDPA competitors will appreciate. The J-hook made of very strong .125 Kydex.
This style is also called an appendix carry holster. The minimal width of the wrap around construction lends itself to placing almost anywhere on the belt. The appendix carry refers to placing the holster forward of the hip bone or the 2 o’clock position for a right-handed shooter. It is equally well suited 3, 4, or 5 o’clock carry depending on your preference. This is a IWB Kydex Holster you can wear all day and love the comfort and security it offers.
As with any screw hardware; it is recommended that after final set up is made that you use threadlocker on the screws to prevent accidental loosening. This is available as a option if you do not have any already.

Belt Drop Holster
The Belt Drop Holster is the happy place(ment) between having a belt holster and thigh holster. The mid drop design fits belts up to 2.25″ with an adjustable belt sizer. Holsters come shipped in the neutral vertical position but can be easily adjusted for forward or back cant angle with a standard Philips screwdriver. Retention can adjusted via the 2-3 tension screws. Additional levels of security can be had with the Thumb Break option. This rubberized laminated webbing secures across the rear of the slide and is easy to manipulate under stress. This strap is also removable. The single thigh strap helps stabilize the dropped holster. The leg strap features rubber anti-slip strips to minimize shifting while active. There is also an elastic webbing for additional comfort. This strap is also removable. All holsters come mounted directly to the belt drop platform. We do offer a variety quick-release interchangeable hardware that allow your to swap holster quickly or the move your holster from one platform to another easily. Some of the more popular are the Blade-Tech TMMS, Safariland QLS, and G-Code RTI. Essentially they all serve the same function but are not interoperable between brands. One side mounts to the holster (Insert/fork/hanger) and the other mounts to platform (thigh panel/ belt slide, molle adapter) and this is usually called the plate. Is one any better than another? That’s a personal preference as they all have their own following. TMMS puts it off the body the least, RTI is the easiest to swap out. QLS is the most ubiquitous. There is some adjustment in the holster placement in the Belt Drop dependent if you have a light selected. SideKick Holster
Ares Tactical has made combination pistol and magazine IWB holsters for years by special order. There’s a pretty consistent pattern that several Kydex holster makers use. Our wasn’t that different in the basic design. We applied our critical eye on using the best materials and finishing, but essentially they looked and worked the same. The new SideKick holster is a first in its design. It takes up less belt room than the traditional style making it far more versatile in where you place it. Most pistol and mag holsters are limited to carrying in the front or AIWB (appendix Inside-the-belt). The Ares Tactical SideKick is small enough that some users will be able to place it anywhere including the strong side 3 o’clock position. The mag slot is built to handle full size magazines regardless of pistol size. Compact and subcompact magazines will fit deeper in the slot. User adjustable tension screws for both the pistol and magazine. This allows you to custom tune the draw effort needed for the pistol and magazine individually. Want even more versatility? Will the SideKick IWB holster work without a magazine? Yes, the SideKick is designed in a way that allows it to be used with or without a magazine placed in the slot. 2. Will this work with my Trijicon RMR (Burris Fast Fire, JP JPoint, etc.)? Generally, no. To keep the profile small we tuck the magazine slot close to the pistol. Some combinations of mini dot optics, mount, and compact magazines may work. 3. I see you make other holsters for my XDs 3.3 but not in the SideKick model. Why? The SideKick is made for many double stack pistols. Some double stack pistols and most single stack pistols do not work well with the intent of this design. 4. Is there an option for two or three magazines? No. Adding a second magazine substantially increases the relative size and severely restricts the versatility of the design. We recommend if you want to carry more magazine to get the Ares Tactical IWB Single Mag Carrier. 5. What are the optional deep seat clips? Whether you call it a Thigh Holster, Leg Holster, or Drop Leg Holster they all free up belt space and provide extra clearance around body armor to access your pistol. Update 12 January 2021: We have brought in some Blade-Tech thigh panels to offer more colors and hopefully have a more consistent supply on hand. These feature a semi-rigid polymer platform with dual leg adjustments and an adjustable drop hanger with a quick release side buckle. Update 1 February 2018: Our supplier has discontinued the Cordura thigh panels in a style we use. Very limited stock or old stock is available. Tanker Chest Holster
The Tanker Holster was born out of a need for a easy access system where traditional belt or thigh holsters were not practical. Classically seen worn by tankers and pilots, today you can still see these used by military personnel as well as backpackers, hikers, and atv off roaders. The Ares Tactical Tanker Chest Holster is based on the 1940’s US Military M7 Tanker Holster. We have designed in a lot of improvements including using weatherproof Kydex, allowing greater adjustability in sizing and retention. Additionally, we have designed the holster to be adjustable in the carry angle. It can be rotated to near horizontal. This allows for a more natural draw angle to fit your body. Hybrid Holster
Hybrid holsters have been very popular over the last decade. Providing the conforming nature of leather on the backside and the rugged form fitted Kydex on the outside blends the two spectrum’s of holster design. This is the Ares Tactical take featuring sturdy leather back and .080 Kydex. The Kydex Holster design allows you to have multiple shells and one leather backer. The opening is slightly flared to make holstering easier. The full wrap muzzle is standard. This protects the front sight from damage or become caught up on your clothes. As an added benefit it keeps your clothes clean from powder and oil from the slide and muzzle. Also, the wrapped muzzle reduces sharp edges and wear that can tear holes in your pants. Notice the rounded and treated edges of the leather. We take the extra time to do this because it makes carrying more comfortable and it looks good too. IWB Soft loops are a great option for those wanting something more secure that the traditional metal clips. The pull-the-dot snaps allow easy on and off. You can also choose tuckable injection molded belt clips. Cant angle can be fine tuned via front and back adjustment holes. Multiple shells are available for only $20.
